Laura Zabel of Springboard for the Arts
12:00 pm - 12:10 pm

Laura Zabel is the Executive Director of Springboard for the Arts. A few weeks ago, Springboard for the Arts launched an Emergency Relief Fund for MN artists who’ve lost a significant amount of income due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The stories they are hearing from the community are heartbreaking: artists who put together a living from teaching in schools, working with elders, performances, and community events had the bottom fall out in a matter of days. The stories are also a powerful reminder of the many vital roles that artists, creative workers and culture makers play in our communities. We will need them to get through this difficult time and we will need them to help our communities recover. You can give to the Emergency Relief Fund at https://www.givemn.org/story/Epf3ag All funds raised will go directly to artists.
